Leg Muscles

Off to Arizona in the early morning for my last intensive of the Blue Throat Yoga Year long program with Paul Muller-Ortega. I'm home on Monday to teach the regular studio schedule for the week and then Christina comes to teach a weekend workshop. I can't wait. It will be an excellent workshop and it will be so good to spend time with one of my favorite people in the world. My best friends are my Yoga friends. Actually my only friends, aside from family, are my Yoga friends. Possibly I should be worried.

Wave after wave of insight and understanding have been arising about the simplest things lately. Like for example, if I activate all 4 corners of my feet evenly, it is almost impossible for my quads to override hamstrings or for my gluts (bossy butt) to override inner thighs. It is just balanced action, I know. But I get so delighted and excited by it. Balanced action is just Yoga, which is just the key to bliss.

Yes - OK - probably I should be worried that my only friends are my Yoga friends and I am getting inspired by leg muscles. Tomorrow morning at the airport I will try to make some new friends. I will strike up a conversation and if it goes well I will see if maybe my new friends would like to experienc the thrill of balanced action of the legs muscles. And if that goes well I will maybe even tell them I am going off to a Blue Throat Yoga intensive. It will be a great morning.

  1. Good luck finding 'airport' friends, especially once you start talking about their legs. It might work -- you never know.

Wish I could be there for Christina -- she did such a great job in SLC this summer (of note, I was heard to utter to myself "oh, crap, what have I gotten myself into") Such a dynamic and energetic teacher (but you know that). From that one weekend I learned a lot about taking the seat of the teacher, and have been having fun trying to incorporate that to my teaching.

Spent the week with Sundari for the first-ever teacher training in Wyoming. Fun and held in the museum in Jackson -- what an element to bring to the training, seeing the beauty.

    Hope to see you soon,
    Leslie
